Women’s Soccer Dominates

Live tweeting an event can have very interesting outcomes. I tweeted the Rose-Hulman women’s soccer game and using twitter I was able to put the excitement of the game into words that helped me have a more memorable and exciting experience. Also, my followers on tweeter who were not able to be at the game got live updates on important plays. A drawback of this exercise was that I missed some of the game while I was tweeting about the previous play.

While sporting events are the most suited events for live tweeting as people can get updates and statistics right on their phones in real time. Other events that can be live tweeted can be performances, discussions or class room lectures as seen in last week’s article.

Although live tweeting keeps people up to data about events, reading words off a screen cannot be compared with the experience of actually attending the event especially if the event is a sport’s game or a performance.
